Websites for healthcare businesses

Patients choose a clinic the way they choose everything else now, on a phone, from a Google listing, before they ever call.

Stewardr builds and maintains websites and Google Business Profiles for clinics, dental practices, hospitals, diagnostic labs and specialist consultants across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane. Healthcare has constraints most sectors do not — advertising restrictions on medical practitioners, patient privacy in review replies, and the fact that credibility carries far more weight than design. We build around those rather than ignoring them.

The patient journey

Where patients actually decide

Almost none of it happens on your website. Someone searches a symptom or a speciality plus their area, sees three listings on a map, reads a handful of reviews, and calls whichever looks most credible. The website is usually the last check rather than the first.

Which means the highest-return work for most practices is not a redesign at all — it is the Google Business Profile: correct timings, real photographs of the actual clinic, every service listed, and replies to reviews.

What healthcare sites get wrong

Doctor credentials buried

Qualifications, registration and years of practice are the single most reassuring thing on the page, and they are usually three clicks deep.

No real photographs

Stock images of smiling models in foreign clinics actively reduce trust. Photographs of your actual reception and equipment do the opposite.

Appointments by form only

Patients want to call or WhatsApp. A form that emails someone once a day loses the ones who needed an appointment today.

Services written for doctors

Patients search symptoms and plain words, not procedure names. Both belong on the page.

Reviews unanswered

Replies are read by future patients far more than by the reviewer, and must never mention any patient detail.

Timings wrong on Google

The most common single fault we find, and the one that most directly costs a walk-in.

Medical practitioners in India work under professional advertising restrictions that most agencies have never read. Claims about outcomes, comparative superiority and testimonials need care. We write to inform rather than to advertise, and flag anything that looks risky.

Who we work with

We also produce explainer video for procedures, which for surgical and dental practices tends to convert better than any amount of written copy.

Questions

What people ask about this

Can a clinic advertise online in India?

Clinics can inform, but medical practitioners work under professional conduct rules that restrict advertising, comparative claims and certain uses of testimonials. We write informational content rather than promotional claims, and flag anything that reads as risky for you to check with your association.

Should we reply to negative patient reviews?

Yes, but never with clinical detail. Acknowledge, apologise for the experience, and move it to a private channel. Discussing any specifics of a patient's treatment in a public reply is a serious problem regardless of what they wrote.

Do patients actually read clinic websites?

Less than owners expect. Most decide from the Google listing and reviews, then use the website to confirm credentials and location. That is why we usually fix the listing first.

Do you build appointment booking?

Yes, though for most single-location clinics a prominent call and WhatsApp button outperforms a booking system. We will tell you honestly which your practice needs.

Do you work with hospitals as well as clinics?

Yes. Larger sites need department structure, doctor directories and location pages, which changes the build but not the approach.
